Complete nysr.host User Guide
This guide explains nysr.host for users: how projects work, how your homepage is served, how to upload files, use PHP, connect domains, and fix common hosting issues.
info What is nysr.host?
nysr.host is a web hosting platform where you can create projects and publish websites online. Each project gets a free subdomain like:
your-project.nysr.host
You can upload HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, PHP files and other website assets.
folder How projects work
Every project is like a folder on the internet. If your project is named portfolio, your public website URL is:
https://portfolio.nysr.host
When someone visits that URL, nysr.host looks for your homepage file, usually index.html.
description How index.html works
index.html is the default homepage file for a website.
index.html appears at /.about.html appears at /about.html.blog/index.html appears at /blog/.File names are case-sensitive. Index.html is not the same as index.html.
rocket_launch Create and publish a project
- Sign up or log in to nysr.host.
- Open your dashboard.
- Create a new project.
- Open the file manager.
- Upload your website files.
- Visit your project subdomain.
After the project is created, nysr.host creates a starter page. Replace it by uploading your own index.html.
upload Uploading files
The file manager lets you upload, create, edit, rename, move and delete files and folders. Common files include:
index.html style.css script.js logo.png about.html contact.php
The public URL matches the path in your project. For example, images/photo.jpg becomes:
https://your-project.nysr.host/images/photo.jpg
code Static websites
A static website uses files like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts and videos. Static sites are the easiest type of site to host: upload your files and open your project URL.
php PHP websites
nysr.host supports PHP. If you upload index.php, your project can run PHP when visitors open the site.
<?php echo "Hello from PHP"; ?>
Some dangerous PHP functions may be disabled by default for security. If your app needs special permissions, contact support.
storage Databases
Some PHP apps need MySQL. You can create a database from your project dashboard when available, then use the shown credentials in your app config.
Keep database credentials private. Do not publish them in public repositories or screenshots.
dns Custom domains
You can connect your own domain, such as example.com or www.example.com.
- Open your project dashboard.
- Go to domain settings.
- Enter your custom domain.
- Update DNS at your domain provider.
- Wait for DNS to propagate.
- HTTPS will be prepared for the domain.
folder_zip ZIP uploads
You can upload a ZIP to move many files at once. Recommended structure:
index.html css/style.css js/app.js images/logo.png
If your ZIP contains an extra top-level folder, your homepage may end up inside that folder. Move index.html to the project root if needed.
